COASTAL CLEANUPS

Our coastal cleanups have two goals:

REMOVE

LITTER

COLLECT

DATA

We know that there's a lot of trash along the Texas coast

and waterways, but there's still a lot we don't know. In the

2020 Galveston Bay Report Card, the Litter and Trash

category was given an "Incomplete" grade because there is not enough data available to characterize the amount and impact of trash in the Galveston Bay watershed. So in addition to removing as much litter from our coasts and waterways as possible, data collection is an important part of our cleanups too!

REPORT LITTER

Galveston Bay Foundation created the Galveston Bay Action Network (GBAN), an interactive tool for reporting pollution around the Galveston Bay watershed. No report is too small so head to the website to submit a report. Your input on GBAN helps us organize cleanups in areas that need it!
